tonnes of the yellow metal in April and May, tied the imports of the yellow metal for domestic consumption to exports. Items like onion, rice and other cereals along with vegetables became costlier putting pressure on prices, a development
that could have a bearing on Reserve Bank of India's first quarter monetary policy review that comes up on July 30. The inflation based on the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) had stood at 4.70 per cent in May. Food inflation rose to 9.74 per cent, driven by rise in prices of onion, cereals and rice in June, against 8.25 per cent in the previous month. Ltd's 51% stake for an undisclosed sum. Streparava earlier held 49% equity in the joint venture. Sansera + Streparava Engineering Pvt. Ltd, located in Bangalore, will now become Streparava's wholly owned unit. The company supplies
products to more than 20 auto makers in India and abroad. In the year ended 31 March, it reported a revenue of Rs.550 crore. Streparava makes rocker arms, chassis components, bearing cups, valve bridges and other powertrain components for trucks and buses. The Italian company is also present in Brazil, Spain and China.
